For 2 years, Alec Balwin had won himself the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical Award for his performance in 30 Rock. Now, in his third consecutive year, he has won yet another award.
In 30 Rock, Alec plays Jack Donaghy, the Vice President of East Coast Television alongside Tina Fey who plays Liz Lemon, the head writer of ‘TGS with Tracy Jordan’. Tina Fey, who is also the creator of the series had had 2 consecutive wins before this for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical. However, this year, she had lost the award to Toni Collette for her performance in United States of Tara.
