The Samsung Genio Touch is a new addition to the world of touch phones. With its small size and smooth curves, the Samsung Genio is reminiscent of the Samsung Tocco Lite. This Samsung model has a 2.8 inch resistive touch screen which supports 16 million colours. The touch screen is quite responsive and the phone vibrates with every gesture you make. There are three home screens which you can personalize as per your taste. The homes screens come with 27 cool widgets already present on them. The Genio Touch has 50 MB internal memory which can be expanded to a whopping 8 GB using a microSD card. This means that you can store lots of images and music on this phone without having to worry about lack of memory space.
The camera is not exactly impressive at 2 mega pixels but it is quite alright for a budget device. The camera has 2X zoom, Smile Detection and Panorama Shot but there is no auto focus. Video recording is also possible (QVGA @ 15fps).
When it comes to messaging, this handset is quite user friendly. The keyboard is alphanumeric so you can’t enjoy the ease of QWERTY. However, the font size is adjustable and both SMS and MMS are possible. This handset even has an in built dictionary. What can be a better way to improve your vocabulary? The dictionary supports 8 languages- English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian.
This handset also boasts good multimedia features. The music player supports files in popular formats like MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++, and WMA. The Find Music feature enables you to record a portion of a song and find out the track, artist, genre and other such details.
With WAP, GPRS Class 10 and EDGE technology, this model gives good internet connectivity. You can use the NetFront browser to view web pages.
