California loves Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas as their tour invades California with concerts in San Jose on August 3rd , then off to Sacramento on August 4th, Fresno on August 5 and three nights performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on August 7,8 and 9th.
The Multi-platinum recording artists are set to host the TEEN CHOICE 2009 Awards airing Monday, August 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Grammy-nominated artists will also perform during the 11th annual special that celebrates the year’s hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion. The Teen Choice 2009 Award Show will take place at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City Walk in Universal City, CA. live on August 10th.
On August 11 the Jonas Brothers will head to Glendale, Arizona for a concert at the Jobing.com Arena before heading to Texas to perform in both San Antonio and Houston. The tour will continue to 10 additional cities before heading to Canada and then off to Europe to continue their tour in Italy, Spain, the U.K., London, Ireland and complete their tour schedule in Paris on November 26th.
The Jonas Brothers gained its popularity from the Disney Channel children’s television network. Originally from Wyckoff, New Jersey, the band consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. The band has released four albums: It’s About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
The Jonas Brothers’ Lines, Vines and Trying Times album debuts at # 1 on the Billboard Top 200, selling nearly 250,000 units, a mere ten months after their third studio album A Little Bit Longer debuted at the top of the charts. Jonas Brothers now have two # 1 debuts within a ten month period; the last act to have two #1 debuts within a year was Jay-Z when he did it in December 2006 and November 2007.
