The three bodyguards for “The King of Pop” said that he was a reclusive individual who liked to spend time with his kids, sightsee on the Las Vegas strip, and go through drive through for fast food. They described Michael Jackson as extremely lonely and that the superstar entertainer was full of “stress, paranoia, and pain.”

Mike Garcia, Bill Whitfield, and Javon Beard went public with all of this and more on Tuesday’s “Good Morning America” show on ABC television. Among the revelations was a bizarre story about a birthday party for one of Jackson’s children in which only Jackson, the teacher, the nanny, and three bodyguards attended. There were no other children present at this birthday party.

Jackson died on June 25 after taking a mixture of prescription drugs and propofol. There is still an investigation going, however, with foul play being insinuated. When Javon Beard first met Jackson the pop legend came in to meet him with a doctor’s mask on. The three bodyguards revealed that although they originally signed up for the job as protectors they also became confessors that learned many of Jackson’s deepest secrets.

Garcia said that “We were with Michael Jackson the person, not the entertainer.” Whitfield revealed that the bandages that Jackson would often wear in public were for a disguise to give him a burn victim look. All three of the bodyguards gave Jackson the highest marks for being an “awesome” father. Jackson and the kids would often go through fast food drive through for Big Macs or fried chicken.

The kids were described as polite and well mannered. The three men also said that they did not believe Jackson was a pedophile and that he had strong desires for women and had at least two girlfriends. “He was a man,” said Whitfield.
