Press has been mostly skeptical of the recently announced iPhone 4, saying that Apple is just too far behind the competition. But Kevin Jonas is already cozying up to Steve Jobs about the product, and it hasn’t even been released. “New iPhone rules! Can’t wait to get one! Good work Mr. Jobs,” he tweeted on Monday after it was announced.
The screen will be bigger and the processor faster, but with tough competition like the HTC EVO 4G, Nexus One, and Verizon Droid, the iPhone is not the archetypal smart phone it once was.
Maybe Jonas is looking to score an Apple endorsement, or maybe he’s just excited about the new features.
The iPhone 4′s most talked about features are its able to run multiple programs concurrently (multitask), which competitors have boasted for a while now; and an additional, front-facing, 5 megapixel camera that can take 720p HD video.
The inclusion of the front-facing camera will also allow for what Tim Gideon from PCMag called “a new horrifying dimension of drunk dialing”–the video call.
