Making teens and tweens scream is serious business, and the JoBros fully intend to continue delivering in that department. Their latest tour stops at the Comcast Center on Wednesday, the first of a two-night stint.

“We’re looking forward to getting out again and really trying to step up our game one more time,” 22-year-old Kevin Jonas told reporters during a conference call. “Each year when we set up a new tour, we kind of push ourselves to come up with new ideas and new exciting things.”

Nick Jonas said the Bros will do just about anything to please their fans – including backflips on trampolines while playing guitar, a feat Kevin Jonas accomplished at a show last year.

“We have a couple of crazy ideas, and we’re always willing to put ourselves in life-threatening situations,” said Nick, 17. “But it’s the insurance company and some of the people surrounding us that don’t let us do it.”

Some of the fresh ideas that won’t land the brothers in the hospital include incorporating interactive video in their live show, as well as shaking up the set list with different artists and material.

“I think our goal this time around is to bring something new to our fans,” Kevin said. “We haven’t done a tour like this where we’re bringing out our friends and integrating songs from ‘Camp Rock’ along with Demi (Lovato) and this cast from the movie. It’ll be a really good time.”

As for a new album from the JoBros, who have been busy filming the upcoming “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,” which airs on the Disney Channel on Sept. 3, fans may have to wait until – gasp! – next year.

“I think we just felt that after releasing four albums in about three and a half years, that it might be a bit of an overload,” Nick said. “So we started to not go with releasing an album this year. But I think – you know 2011, you can expect another Jonas Brothers album.”

Clearly not looking to end up as overexposed ex-heartthrobs, the Bros all have perspectives on how to balance staying relevant with staying true to themselves musically.

“I think that the main thing for us is feeling comfortable in our own skin and moving at our own pace when it comes to our music and our career,” Nick said. “We’re in no rush to age ourselves, though. We realize our fans are growing with us.”

“For us, our musical journey has just been a progression,” Kevin said. “We’re not trying to grow up too fast or anything, and I’m saying that even coming from being married. For us, we’re growing up with our audience.”

The approach seems to be working. Apparently even U2 frontman Bono gives the Bros a seal of approval.

“The bands that we’ve been able to meet and the artists all have similar encouragement, but I think the one that we look up to the most is probably Bono,” 21-year-old Joe Jonas said. “And since he’s been doing this for a very long time and been very successful at it, we listen to what he has to say. He just told me continue to do what we’re doing. And you know, you’re seeing that it’s working.
