American Idol’s favorite; Jordin Sparks took the stage again this weekend but this time it wasn’t to entertain a crowd of fans, this time she was hear to speak with DubLi business owner’s, in Scottsdale, AZ, about networking together in an effort to fight hunger in children everywhere.
Ms. Sparks did perform for her audience and some of us are big fans but Jordin was here on a more serious matter, fighting hunger in children across the US and across the world. She was here to announce that she is again teaming up with American’s Fun Shopping Portal; DubLi, to help kick-off and promote two of her favorite charities “Blessings in a Backpack” an initiative for preventing children across the US from having to go hungry and “On Earth Campaign” a program to decrease worldwide poverty.

Blessings in a Backpack is an initiative to assist families, experiencing financial difficulties by sending an extra backpack home with kids every weekend, containing healthy foods and snacks.
Some children are only getting meals and snacks during the week at school or at daycare. We all know the importance of good nutrition and studies have proven that the better the nutrition the better the test scores and attendance.
The kids help assemble the backpacks, which assists in teaching some nutritional facts and keeps the process fun along the way. The program currently feeds over 11,000 kids every weekend but needs your assistance to continue and grow.
DubLi has donated and is placing (2) $10,000 debit cards on their Unique Bid Auctions, with all of the auction proceeds going to these two charities. The DubLi online shopping portal will feature the first debit card on the Unique Bid Auction in April with the proceeds going to Blessings in a Backpack. The second debit card will be featured in May and all proceeds of this unique bid auction will go to the On Earth campaign.
