A train derailed in Byhalia, Miss., this afternoon, sending several container cars spilling off the tracks.

No one was injured. The wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. near the Cargill plant.

Although hazardous-materials teams were called out, nothing dangerous was found in the containers, Marshall County Sheriff?s Department Maj. David Cook said.


The derailment of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train shut down the intersection of Edwards and Highway 178 West, Cook said.
