Yes, Britney Spears is back in the news. The former child singer who famously shaved her head, filed for divorce, dealt with a serious case of substance addiction and actually is still involved in a very nasty custody battle is back. But this time it’s the Britney Spears workout regime which is making headlines.
First off, what happened? Well the former pop princess had descended into a world of hurt. But about three months ago, she finally hit rock bottom. Her father has been given control over her assets through a court action called conservatorship (a fancy way of saying that he gets full control over her life and assets even though she is an adult since in the judgment of the court, she is incapable of taking care of herself). Then her former manager Larry Rudolph returned to help her rebuild the public image that she had so badly damaged.

Britney of course had gained tons of weight and looked horrible; hardly the lithe little super star she once was, Britney had a fondness for fizzy drinks, fast food and in general a very unhealthy lifestyle. All of that plus the stresses of her life had led her to balloon like she was busy getting pregnant instead of simply living her life.
But she’s now working on getting back into shape. Britney Spears’ workout routine doesn’t just include exercise but is a whole life style change. Gone are the chips and the Mexican burritos and the booze and in are healthful organic meals. Recent pictures show her getting the fat off and how she did it is a case study in what the uber rich are able to do with all the money at their disposal. Brit has decided to take on a serious workout regime which requires her to work out three times a day five days a week with a personal trainer. She says she recently switched from using a male personal trainer to a female one since she felt that the female trainer would understand her better.
Britney Spears’ workout regime also reportedly requires her to do no less than 1,000 stomach crunches on her own every single day, in addition to the whole work out routine with the trainers. Ouch. I mean, I’m hardly in perfect shape, but even I know that’s an insane plan and it’s going to land her in a hospital, not a magazine cover.
