James Cameron’s Avatar might have won big at the 2010 Golden Globes, but Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker dominated the 2010 Oscars.
The Hurt Locker won 6 awards in the recent Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, Film Editing Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. Avatar on the other hand, only won 3 oscars for Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.
It is interesting to know that the two well-known directors were once a married couple back in 1989 until when they split up in 1991.
Congratulations, Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron! Well done!
