Michael Lohan is alive and well, despite what you might have read on Twitter.
Someone on the micro-blogging site @themichaellohan began “tweeting” 140 character missives about family drama and “heading to the Brooklyn Bridge” Sunday night, PopEater.com reports.
The Tweets, which have since been erased, read like a suicide note.
“Fiance just left me. My family hates me, I spent Thanksgiving with my mom. I just cant do any of this any more,” said one tweet, which was followed by, “Heading to the Brooklyn Bridge,” and, “Goodbye.”
The posts were copied and saved by entertainment blog AllieisWired.com and spread like wildfire throughout the blogosphere last night, prompting many to worry Lindsay Lohan’s father had taken his own life.
But the very-much-alive Lohan denies “tweeting” anything.
“This is not not not me,” Lohan told gossip blog Shabooty.com in an e-mail. “I do not have and never had a Twitter and Twitter’s corporate office confirms that. My lawyers are investigating.”
Daughter Lindsay, however, is an active personality on Twitter, often chronicling her own personal dramas for her followers to read.
Earlier this month, after Michael released audiotape of phone calls between him and Lindsay, she “tweeted,” “My fathers such a loser & those recordings are from years ago. To release personal things is foul enough, but to edit them. I used to think that he needed the book for dummies on learning how to be a father. Haha-he’s needs the book for dummies on HOW TO BE A MAN.”
