The PC version of Square Enix’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Final Fantasy XIV will reach stores September 30, the publisher announced.

The game will be available for $49.99, and include a $12.99 monthly subscription. For those eager to play the game earlier, a collector’s edition including a free month of gameplay, behind-the-scenes DVD and special travel journal debuts September 22 for $74.99.


A beta testing phase for the game will launch in early July, says Square Enix. Final Fantasy XIV will also be available on PlayStation 3 in March 2011.
