Spider-Man 3 Trivia:

  • Ground corn was used as sand because it reflected well on camera.
  • While promoting the film on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, Thomas Haden Church revealed that he broke three knuckles during the subway scene where he swings to punch Spider-Man and ends up punching a chunk of the wall away. Church said that the effects crew had told him that the brick in the middle was fake while the upper and lower ones were real, sure enough, the foam brick had not actually been put in place yet and when Sam Raimi yelled action, Church punched the real brick on the first take.
  • Kirsten Dunst, a natural blonde, plays redhead Mary Jane, while Bryce Dallas Howard, a natural redhead, plays blonde Gwen Stacy.
  • The photograph of Mary Jane next to Peter’s police scanner is the picture he took of her at the science exhibit in the first Spider-Man movie.
  • Dr. Curt Connors (Dylan Baker) was origanally going to be the main villain for this film. There is a lizard skeleton in Dr. Connors’ laboratory that hints this metamorphosis. Another hint is the fact that his right arm is missing. In the comics, he tried to restore it using reptile DNA, which led to his transformation.
  • Topher Grace left “That ’70s Show” to star in this movie.
  • The girl who gives her camera to J. Jonah Jameson for $100 is actually Sam Raimi’s daughter, Emma Raimi.
  • Co-creator of Spider-man Stan Lee makes an appearance as the man who tells Peter how great Spider-man is.
  • Topher Grace is never referred to as “Venom” once in the entire movie.
  • When the symbiote attaches to Peter’s motorcycle license plate, it takes on the shape of a V (for Venom).

Review for Tom Cancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent:

  • Taking on the role of Sam Fisher for the fourth time, players are given the basic storyline revealed in the Xbox 360 version. Fisher’s daughter was killed in a car accident while he was away on a mission and his world falls apart. He takes on the toughest role possible, and while doing time in prison he befriends a member of the extremist group, the JBA (John Brown Army). By assisting Jamie Washington’s jail break, he enters into the role as a mole, doing double duty as part of the NSA (National Security Agency) and the JBA.
  • The mechanics and gameplay techniques are similiar games in the series. The levels provide more than one way to get from one place to another and they’re also almost entirely linear in nature.
  • Sam can still do almost all the moves he could do in the previous games like crouching, climbing, attacking close up and perform an inverted neck snap.
  • There’s a new trust system that gives the missions a more free-form tone than missions from previous Splinter Cell games. There are moments in the game where Sam is faced with serious choices that could kill thousands if made wrong, but may blow his cover if he does not do it.
  • Sound plays a big part in the game and just like the lit up face of Sam Fisher on your HUD indicates his vulnerable status, the arching meters along the HUD indicate how loud or quiet Fisher is. Ubisoft did another great job with the sound quality in this game.
  • The graphics in this game is great. The lighting, like previous splinter cell games are excellent.

Halo 3

About Halo 3:

The epic saga continues with Halo 3, the hugely anticipated third game to the highly successful Halo franchise. The Master Chief returns to finish the fight, bringing the epic conflict between the Covenant, the Flood, and the entire human race to a dramatic, pulse-pounding climax.

Review for Halo 3:

  • Halo 3 is an interesting mix of established protocol and intriguing new stuff. The gameplay isn’t so much different from Halo 2. Don’t take that as a negative, because it means that Halo 3 plays extremely well, with the same types of light tactical considerations that have made the series stand apart from other, faster-paced shooters.
  • The balance between your guns, your grenades, and your melee attack has always given Halo a unique feel in the genre, and those same considerations apply today, both in the campaign mode and in multiplayer. Halo 3 also offers new weapons and items, such as a host of Brute weapons.
  • Halo 3 introduces the concept of “equipment”. These deployable items have a variety of effects. An example is the bubble shield. You can walk through it but bullets an explosions bounce off it. There are also other items that makes your shield regenerate faster, and others that drain enemy shields.
  • Previous Halo games let two players go through the campaign, but Halo 3 lets 4 players go through the campaign and lets you do the whole thing over Xbox Live.
  • The sound in Halo 3 is a good mix of old and new, much like the rest of the game. You’ll hear the familiar Halo theme music and variants thereof. You’ll also hear plenty of great new music, including one suspenseful track with a heartbeat-like sound that manages to get your heart pounding as well.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

November 17, 2007 on 10:11 am | In Games | No Comments

About the Prince Of Persia:

  • The original Prince Of Persia was a great game with fluid animation and an unusual method of combat. Most games at that time used projectile weapons but the protaganist and enemies in the Prince of Persia used swords.
  • Now, Ubisoft brings us the next official installment to the legendary Prince of Persia series with the Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. Now, players can play as the acrobatic prince and run on walls, swing off poles and much more. Players can also slow, stop and reverse time using the sands of time.

Review of The Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

  • The story is narrated by the Prince. The odd moments where the Prince decides to chime in and offer his running commentary on the action really help to give you a sense of what he’s thinking as he completes the various sections of the game. It’s a very natural and effective way to get the player into the character’s mind.
  • In the game, you’ll have to fight guards and other creatures that have been tainted by the sands of time. Combat in this game involves a lot of jumping and slashing with either your sword or stabbing with your dagger. The animations are quite nice individually and can be blended together for some visually impressive chains.
  • The combat system does have its drawbacks. The combat in the game can be quite repetitive. The game doesn’t offer many varieties of attacks.
  • The other half of the game involves fairly linear puzzles.Whether you’re climbing up and jumping from pole to pole in an effort to reach a high ledge in the Maharajah’s bedroom or whether you’re running along the walls trying to dodge the spinning blades that slide up and down the wall, the puzzles in Prince of Persia are very intuitive and are solved through action as often as they are through examination.
  • The puzzles in the game are much easier thanks to the dagger of time which can alter the flow of time giving you more time to react to certain hazards. If you fail, you can also use the sands of time to reverse time to the point you made a mistake.

My rating for Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time: 9.0 out of 10

Cheats for Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time:

  • 3D Prince Of Persia level (PS2):

Start a new game and stay on the balcony. Hold L3 (left analog stick), then quickly press X, Square, Triangle, Circle, Triangle, X, Square, Circle. You will then enter the first level of the original Prince Of Persia game, redone in 3D. Note: There is no end to the level. Once you get your sword and see a picture of the developers, that is all there is. Do not think that you are stuck; they just did not have time to finish it.

  • How to unlock the original Prince Of Persia

Around 33% of the way into the game, you will receive a new sword. Continue on until you break a wall and the Prince says, ”It’s said they built this palace on the ruins of another…” Once you cross the next room, you will find a rotatable switch. Directly behind this switch is a breakable wall, although it doesn’t appear to be one. If you hit it three times, you will find another room and you will receive a message informing you that Prince of Persia is now unlocked.
You can also rotate that switch until it points to the new room and it will open a gate that allows you to play Prince of Persia right there without having to exit back to the Extra Features screen.

High School Musical 2! The sequel to one of the biggest phenomena in the world, High School Musical. The premiere of High School Musical 2 brought in about 17.5 million viewers in Asia!

hsm2.jpg

Plot outline:

During the summer vacations a talent show is organized in a local country club and Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad and Taylor take part in it.

Trivia of High School Musical 2:

1) Ryan Evans wore 15 hats during the movie

2) In the scene in the kitchen, Troy’s cell phone rings the tone “Getcha Head in the Game” from the first movie

3) Miley Cyrus appears in the end scene, singing “All For One”. She is wearing a yellow dress and the camera is only on her for a few seconds.

4) During filming the end scene all the six main characters jumped into the pool. However, only Troy and Gabriella’s jump made the final film cut.

5) Sharpay’s dog Boi is actually called Manly and belongs to Kenny Ortega which is the director of the movie.

6) The T-shirts Chad wore through the movie read as follows: - I majored in vacation - Warning! Do not read this shirt! - Viva la basketball - He did it - I just look like him

7) The coaster of people doing the wave, at the opening scene in “What time is it” was started by the HSM cast/dancers and Kenny Ortega. Since all the cast/dancers were sore from dance rehearsals, they sat in a line on the floor and began to massage each-other. When Kenny saw this, he told them lean to the right (one by one in a wave), and so they did. Then he decided for them to try it standing up, and when they did so, he used it in the movie in during the opening song.
